Shari Hume

Shari Hume is a co-founder of the Cure JM Foundation. When her son, Parker (then age 5), was diagnosed with JM in the Fall of 2002, Shari began learning as much as she could about the disease. Soon she was reaching out to other parents and driving a grassroots, San Diego-based campaign to gain awareness for JM. The result was several local newspaper and radio stories as well as several successful fundraising events. Now her sights are set on gaining national awareness of JM and national coverage for the Foundation.

Shari is the mother of 3 boys: Connor (now age 7), Parker (age 5) and Cole (age 2). She is also married to Tom Hume, another Cure JM Foundation board member. With the whole family’s help, Shari is determined to increase awareness of JM and find a cure.
