| Dr. Richard Burt of Northwestern University has a Phase 1 trial for autoimmune disease victims. UCSF & MAYO both did not know of it. Son Jim, 50, learned from another CIDP patient. He had gone from a healthy, vital man to a complete invalid in only 6 months. He was on his way to dying.UCSF & MAYO offered only the steroids & IVIG that had already failed. Dr. Burt says, if it's the immune system that's getting you, get rid of the immune system & get a new one. He removed stem cells from Jim in Feb., chemo-ed away his immune system in Feb., reinfused the stem cells Mar. 4, and Jim was walking in early April. This is true! Jim was only the 12th CIDP patient but Burt has had great success with 360 MS patients. Google Dr. Richard Burt of Northwestern. We learned that news of medical breakthroughs travels faster patient to patient than it does doctor to doctor. I want to spread the word to all autoimmune victims re this. Or, check Jim Danhakl's blog. Helen Danhakl |
