Does anyone know of any CureJM fundraisers happening in the Philadelphia, Pa area or how to get that information? |

On the Cure JM website, there is an Events page for Cure JM sponsored events. These are for National and Regional events. All local events may not be listed.
http://www.curejm.com/teamjm/events.htm
If you do not see any listed for the Philadelphia area, consider starting one! There are 54 creative ideas to choose from on the following list --

There are other families in the PA/NJ area that may be willing to join in and help out. Contact Suzanne Edison (seedison on the message board) on the Cure JM Parent Advisory Board if you would like to be put in touch with other JM families in your geographic area.

My son is 13 and diagnosed in July. I am from the Philadelphia area and was interested if there is any
Support groups around for my son to attend.(and myself) He seems to be mildly depressed . I just want to make sure I do all I can to make our situation the best it could be. Our doctors say we have a mild case, but with all the medications it seems scary to me.

I am very happy to try and connect people in the Philadelphia and greater Pennsylvania area. Please email me at suzanne.edison@curejm.com There are at least 1/2 dozen families that are in Philly and more in the surrounding areas.
Please also let me know how far away you want me to check. Sometimes just having someone to email or speak to by phone can be a treasure. Also, I'll see if there are other kids around the same ages but that isn't always easy. Posting messages on the Support forum of this Message Board is also a good way to try and find someone.
Best to you all,
