Victoria |
Victoria was diagnosed with JM in June 2004 and is now 14 years old. She recently spoke (to a very large audience!) about her experiences with JM at a fundraiser for Cure JM near her central Illinois home. Victoria and her family have done so much to raise awareness and funding for Cure JM, and we are honored to have them as part of our foundation.
Prior to her diagnosis, Victoria was very active in basketball, soccer, track and tae kwon do. Since she was so athletic, it was especially hard for Victoria to stop doing the activities she loved. After a year of treatment, she is feeling much better and is able to participate in sports again. Victoria’s favorite sport is Tae Kwon Do and she hopes to soon continue her goal of completing her black belt training.
The Cure JM Foundation is sure that Victoria can accomplish anything she sets her mind to. What an amazing young girl!! She is an inspiration and a hero to all of us.
