Kevin Scorsone

Kevin is an inspiration to us all. He has raised over $15,000 for research into a cure for JDM!! His most recent fundraiser was a bowl-a-thon where he raised $5,000. It’s hard to believe, and even harder to believe since he is only 12 years old. Kevin was named “Inspirational Student of the Year” at his elementary school and is well-liked and admired by all who know him. He never lets the disease stop him, and is certainly a role model for all of the kids battling JDM.

Ever since Kevin could talk, his dream has been to become a New York Yankee. He will get the chance to meet the Yankee’s baseball team this spring when his Make-a-Wish is granted. His other dream, after he becomes a New York Yankee, is to build a wing at Shriner’s Hospital in his foundation’s name, One Base at a Time (yes, he has his own foundation!). He also dreams that Cure JM will never have to worry about money for research.

Kevin, we believe you will reach your dreams, and we are amazed by what you have already accomplished. Thanks for being such an inspiration to the children with JDM and to all of us at Cure JM. You have taught us to reach higher and dream more…and that dreams can come true! -
