Hy, my name is Pedro and I am 7 years old . I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I was diagnosed with JDM in 2002, my symptoms were skin rash and Heliotrope Eyelids. My parents did not notice any muscle weakness at the time I was diagnosed. I am still on Prednisone and other drugs at reduced doses, but elbow rash persists. I am a very active boy and I am a big Star Wars fan . I have a healthy sister, Maria, she is one year younger than me. It has not been easy for mom and dad since I have to take medicines every day, but out of that I have a very normal life. I am sure a clever scientist will soon find a cure for JDM. We can help if we can act together.
