100% of the proceeds from this ride will go to CureJM. Juvenile dermatomyositis and juvenile polymyositis are the most common forms of juvenile myositis (JM), a debilitating diseases that affect approximately 5,000 children in the United States. The disease attacks a child’s immune system and can cause weak muscles, skin rashes, fatigue, calcinosis, vasculitic ulcers, and contractors, all of which can lead to additional life-threatening problems. The Cure JM Foundation (Cure JM) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for JM, while also providing support and information for families affected by JM.
The Intel Motorcycle Club is a group of Intel employees and contractors who have joined together to share common interests outside of Intel. The club has a long history of sponsoring charity rides to benefit worthy causes. Last year, the ride was in memory of Elsie Mae, a relative of one of the organizers, and benefited the Providence Brain Institute with a donation of $1,931.
