Director

Mitali Dave serves as a Cure JM board member. She became involved with the foundation while helping to plan and secure sponsorship for the 2010 Cure JM national conference held in Austin, TX, her current city of residence. Her areas of focus on the board so far have been to increase JM community connectedness through monthly e-newsletters and to increase Cure JM's research funding capacity by helping to secure grants from other philanthropic foundations.

Mitali works part time as an independent management consultant in the mid-market and has lent her expertise to a wide range of industries including technology, retail, educational services, banking, and manufacturing. Prior to striking out on her own, Mitali worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company's San Francisco, New York, and Dallas offices where she worked with Fortune 500 companies on a wide range of operational and strategic issues.

Before Bain, Mitali worked in product management at business software provider Marimba (acquired by BMC Software). Mitali has also held marketing positions with optical networking company, JDS Uniphase, and business software provider Cogency Software.

Mitali holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she was Co-Chair of the Stanford GSB Entrepreneurship Conference and a Board Fellow, serving as board member for East Bay School for Girls. She also holds a BS in Computer Science and an MS in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, both from Stanford University.

Mitali loves to read, run, and spend time with her family and friends. She and her husband Rishi, also a Cure JM board member, have two daughters, Shona (age 6) and Somya (age 3). Shona was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis in July 2008 at the age of 3 ½.
