Lisa Forgas

Lisa Forgas became active with CureJM shortly after her youngest child, Isabella, was diagnosed with JDM in March 2004 at four years of age.

Currently, Lisa dedicates her time to volunteering at school and fundraising for Cure JM. Before she became a stay-at-home mom to her 3 children, 8-year-old twin boys Michael and Ethan, and 6-year old Isabella, she was a CPA and small business owner. In 1984, she began working at a regional accounting firm in Pittsburgh, PA, performing audit, accounting, and tax work. Her focus in accounting and auditing was with small non-profit organizations. After 10 years, she left the firm to start her own practice, with a desire to serve smaller businesses and non-profits that needed close business advisory services.

Together with her husband, Mike, and the support of family, friends, and other JM families, Lisa is devoting her time to fund-raising efforts for Cure JM, believing that a cure is possible for all of the children dealing with this disease.
